The 8 Goals Campaign presents the 2008 International Development Week Speaker Tour

The 8 Goals for a Better World Coalition, a group of Canadian organizations and student groups concerned with global issues who have come together to support the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), have invited Robin Sitoula, a student leader from Nepal, to share his experiences of working towards the realization of the MDGs in his country. Members of the Coalition, including Rights & Democracy Delegations, WUSC local committees, and Oxfam Quebec clubs, worked together to present this speaking tour during International Development Week from February 3-9, 2008, on university campuses across Ontario and Quebec.

Les 28,29 et 30 novembre 2006, la Délégation Droits et Démocratie de l’Université Bishop présentera la pièce de théâtre “Speak truth to power : voices from beyond the dark”. 16 acteurs et actrices interpréteront cette pièce d’Ariel Dorfman, basée sur le livre “Speak truth to Power : Human Rights Defenders Who Are Changing Our World”, de Kerry Kennedy Cuomo.

Le Réseau couvrira une partie des frais de transport pour se rendre à Lennoxville, tout près de Sherbrooke depuis Montréal. Si vous êtes intéressé(e)s, écrivez à reseau@dd-rd.ca

L’entrée est gratuite. La Délégation recueillera des dons qui iront à une organisation colombienne faisant du théâtre avec des jeunes de la rue.

Entrance is free. The Delegation will accept donations, with which be given to a colombian organization doing theatre with street children.
