The Delegation at the University of Calgary presents an Indigenous Rights Forum : Colombian & Canadian Experience

During the International Development Week, Rights & Democracy Delegation at the University of Calgary presents its first project. Throughout this forum on indigenous rights, diverse issues such as political exclusion, which are faced both by the Colombian and the Canadian aboriginal communities will be addressed. Recent political declarations surrounding the assassination of the indigenous leader Kimy Pernia Domico, which created agitation in Colombia and provoked reactions from the international community, proves once again the need to raise awareness on these human rights violations.
