Food to Feed: Freedom From Hunger

The Food to Feed event is an information session that will discuss the right to food by bringing together members from the community, community organizations, university students, and non-partisan organizations such as, Rights and Democracy. A screening of the film SILENT KILLER: The Unfinished Campaign Against Hunger will be shown. Following the movie, Priscilla Claeys, consultant at Rights and Democracy will give a lecture on the Right to Food. She will talk about her experiences, having done fact-finding missions on the right to food in Brazil and the Philippines. The final part of the evening will include a panel discussion. A vegetarian dinner will be served and a fundraiser is being held for the Canadian Physicians for Aid and Relief – Food Security. Admission to the event is a non-perishable food item
