A little info on the radio show if anyone is interested in tuning in….

The hosts for the radio show are Rae Kornberger and Kaelan Palmer. This will be Kaelan’s last year with the show as he graduates and will likely not reside here in Nanaimo. However, Rae will continue with the show as host/programmer.

The show, A Sense of Justice, is on Wednesday nights between 7:00 – 8:00 pm, and can be accessed at www.chly.ca.

For the 4th consecutive year, the Malaspina Delegation presented the Student Film Award, in conjunction with the Nanaimo Global Film Fest and the Malaspina Media Studies Department.

A community event held during the Nanaimo Global Film Festival, this Fair Trade Bazaar featured local and international fair trade products, community organizations working for social justice and fair trade, and a Sweatshop Fashion Show featuring sweatshop-made as well as fair trade clothing and accessories.

The screening of a film featuring an interview with Ishmael Beah, a former child soldier and author of “A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier”, followed by a pub night fundraiser for the Ishmael Beah Foundation
