Here are some updates about the activities of the Delegation.

The rights and democracy delegation at Glendon College presents its 3rd annual film week!

Please join us in YH 204 at 7 pm on January 28, 29, 30th to view a selection of films surrounding this year’s theme of equality and diversity.

Interested in joining our exec team?

Glendon Rights and Democracy Delegation is currently accepting nominations for some exec positions, including Treasurer, First-Year Representative and Twinning Liaison Officer. Nominations can be e-mailed to dd-rd@gl.yorku.ca and will also be accepted just prior to the voting at our weekly meetings.

The positions of Treasurer and First-year rep. will be voted for on Thursday, October 25th, while the Twinning Liaison Officer position will be voted for on November 1st.

The Rights & Democracy Delegation at Glendon College cordially invites you to its first event of the year on human rights and democratic development.

On this occasion, we have the honour of welcoming Commissioner Reine Alapini-Gansou of the African Commission of Human and Peoples’ Rights.

Entitled Défis africains? Réponses africaines : Promouvoir et protéger les droits humains en Afrique, this conference is organized in collaboration with Rights & Democracy (www.dd-rd.ca).

Please note that the conference will take place in French; however, interpretive assistance will be available for the question period.
